New Moon

This post is probably gonna be of no interest to anyone who hasn’t read the Twilight series. Which is probably most of the people who stumble upon this blog. But I don’t care!

So this is what it feels like to see your imagination come to life:

By the way, this is THE book that made me weep my eyes out. See the scene she’s all curled up in the forest? That’s when I lost it. It doesn’t look like much now as I have already recovered but boy was I really feeling it.

On my AirAsia flight to Macau I saw a girl reading this very book and I had problem holding myself back from going all Twilight geek on her in front of strangers and the members of Thai press aboard the flight.

Macau updates will come when I finish upping the pics to Flickr.

30-second Bunnies Theater

I just had to share.

They also have a Twilight version. Super funny.

Orbit

"I was like a lost moon–my planet destroyed in some cataclysmic,
disaster-movie scenario of desolation–that continued, nevertheless,
to circle in a tight little orbit around the empty space left behind,
ignoring the force of gravity."

It's right now almost five in the morning. I can hear birds chirping
just outside my window. Still, here I am still flipping through the
pages of New Moon, the second book.

I am obsessed. And for the first time about something so simple.
Something that doesn't involve Torrents or electronic accessories.

A book.

I finally did it

After my mom told me not to do it after what she had experienced as a
child, I went and did it.

I finally saw The Exorcist.

My mom was always telling me how ghost stories and movies never scare
her again after she saw it when she was 16. She said it was the worst
period of her life. The movie made her unable to sleep in the dark,
shower with doors closed, taking the stairs alone and even sleeping
with her feet touching each other for 6 months.

So hell I was scared to even want to watch it. Until recently when
someone finally got it off torrents after months of downloading (not
exaggerating).

I started the first half last week. After series of subliminal images,
the haunting theme song and that backward walk down the stairs, I just
couldn't continue and put the other half on hold.

And tonight I have finished it.

After having boo dropping me home in my own car, parking the car
without locking, dragging mom out of her bed, taking a quick shower
with doors wide open and making mom stay in the bathroom, I am now
lying on the bed with the dog with all the lights on.

What's keeping me sane right now?

The CNN coverage on the election.

Obama Obama Obama.

The (K)night Was Dark

Why?

Because of Heath, that’s why.

Yeah I just saw the Batman movie last night and let me tell you one thing. Dark Knight isn’t about Batman. Dark Knight is about Joker. And that’s a good thing and a sad thing at the same time.

I was never a big fan of Batman. I couldn’t stand the whole Tommy Lee, Jack Nicholson, Michael Keaton, and ew, Jim Carry (even ew-er Chris O’Donnell) during the whole 90s Batman era. Didn’t see Batman Begins either as I don’t want to see the Xenu Wife-slash-Dawson’s Joey in any movie. I wanted to see Dark Knight purely because of Heath and it was worth it.

Do you think they give Oscar noms to dead actors? If not they’d better make an exception for the Joker. Heath Ledger nailed it. He was creepy, he was twisted, he was Joker at his finest and he totally stole the show.

I thought he was already great on Brokeback. And you know how much I loved Brokeback. But in this one he had totally outdone himself.

And then he just had to OD on stupid painkillers. He could have totally avoided it only if he knew what not to mix with what.

I’m pissed, disappointed and sad to know that Joker is the best and the last we will ever see of him.

I will miss you, Heath. I had more than 10 things I liked about Patrick Verona. I’d go to any jousting tournament anytime for Sir Ulric von Lichtenstein. I hated your patriotism a little, Gabriel and Jacob Grimm’s tales really couldn’t keep me from leaving the theater. Casanova could have been much more pleasant without that stupid ending but your manly gayness on the mountains totally more than made up for it, Ennis Delmar. But as creepy as it sounds, I’d definitely love to have the Joker come back to life to put a smile on my face anytime..

Sigh.
